We were never big in celebrating Valentine’s; no gifts or flowers. 😛
Last Sunday was sort of our pre-Valentine’s ‘date’ and we found ourselves watching 2 movies back to back — John Wick 2 (his) and Fifty Shades Darker (hers or his pa din? Hehe!) Since Mr. A has been craving for steak since last week we opted to eat in Outback Steakhouse. We were perusing the menu and was given a separate one which was their Valentine’s promo menu. Php 1,995 gets you 1 appetizer, 2 entrées and 1 dessert; not bad considering the choice of entrees (salmon, chicken, ribs or beef).
Here is the ad in their Facebook page —
For our appetizer, we chose the half dozen Kookabura Wings. We had a choice of buffalo sauce – mild, medium or hot – we chose medium for this and I think it was not ‘medium’ enough hehe. Kaya pa siguro yung hot. But nevertheless, it was still good.
For our entrée, Mr. A had the Toowoomba Topped Sirloin (of course) and I had the Baby Back Ribs & Shrimp Hush Puppies. You can choose one side dish to go with your entree.
Dessert choices were either Creme Brûlée or a brownie with vanilla ice cream (sorry, forgot the ‘title’). We originally wanted the creme brûlée but we didn’t make it and they said that they run out. So we settled for the brownie. It was just the right size and a good end to a nice meal. Sorry, no photo, hehe! My mom called when it was served and we had to eat it right away since it had ice cream on it.
Since we ordered the Valentine’s menu, we were eligible for a raffle. They had a bowl of Outback vouchers and Mr. A picked the 1-for-1 lunch menu. It’s a buy 1 take 1 on their entrée but it’s only valid from Monday to Friday during lunch time. Good luck on when we’ll be free during weekday lunch. Good thing it’s valid until March 31st.
We’re still unsure if we’ll eat somewhere for dinner later after work but I’m sure all the restaurants are full by now. Bahala na si Batman. 😀
