Zark’s Burgers

The Husband’s interest has been piqued by Zark’s ever since word came around about their Jawbreaker Challenge. This particular challenge is for you to consume their Jawbreaker burger within 5 minutes and it’s free (no shirt?). Lifted from their menu, the Jawbreaker burger is described as three cheeseburgers with Spam, bacon and overflowing cheese sauce on top. Husband said kaya niya daw ‘to, wala lang daw siya sa mood, haha! And apparently, they now have another burger to challenge their patrons which is the Tombstone burger, now you’ll get a shirt if you finish this challenge! Mechanics are: strictly no sharing, finish in 10 minutes and you’ll have your picture posted on the Wall of Fame and a free shirt. Not for the weak of heart as it is comprised of two-pound cheeseburgers (3 pieces?!) covered with cheese sauce and served with 300 grams of fries! Check out the picture of the monstrous burger here.

We spent a few minutes purveying the menu as there were quite a number of burgers to choose from. They also have rice meals, hotdogs, sandwiches, wings and the like. The burgers were divided into 2: Minor League and Major league with the difference being the Major league is already served with french fries and iced tea. For the Minor League you just add P30 for the fries and iced tea. I also noticed that the Major League burgers have more toppings/fillings and for the more adventurous eaters. You can view their full menu here.

Their Eastwood branch only has a small air conditioned area while the majority of the tables are outside with huge umbrellas to protect you from the sun, plus, they have industrial electric fans to help with the heat. I guess this is better since their BF Homes branch has poor ventilation and you will smell like burgers after eating.

The Husband settled for a Zark’s Ultimate Burger (P130 + P30 for fries and iced tea); a 1/4 pound burger with cheese sauce in a bed of fresh veggies and then topped with sauteed mushrooms and bacon.

While I ordered the Shaq (P130 + P30 for fries and iced tea) which is a cheeseburger topped with bacon and fried onion rings.

We were both satisfied with our burgers and for the price it was well worth it. The burgers were juicy and had that yummy charred taste however I found mine a bit peppery. I don’t mind a bit of bite but it might not sit well for others specially those that do not like spicy food at all.

We’ll definitely go back to try the other burgers and hopefully try their other offerings as well. Will definitely save tummy space for dessert next time — deep-fried Snickers and deep-fried Mars! Yumm!
